On April 22, 2024, the Pulheim Greens held their Stadtverband meeting to elect a new board for the next two years. It was an inspiring evening, filled with gratitude for those who have served and optimism for the path ahead. As I step into the role of co-spokesperson alongside Anke Lundborg, I feel both honored and deeply motivated to contribute to our shared vision for Pulheim.
We owe immense thanks to outgoing spokesperson Sarah Frahmke and board members Barbara Kirschner and Renate Thiel. Their tireless volunteer work and dedication have been invaluable to our local chapter. While they are stepping back from their current roles, their continued involvement in the party will undoubtedly enrich our work moving forward.
Joining Anke and me in this new chapter are Klaus Groth, who continues as treasurer, and longstanding board members Wolf Kessler, Emilia Utz, and Christoph Kraeber. I am particularly thrilled to welcome Pia Makowski and Anna-Sophie Utz as new members of the board. Together, we represent a diverse and dedicated team ready to address the challenges and opportunities ahead.
The Pulheim Greens have always stood for progressive policies, sustainability, and a commitment to social justice. As we transition into this new leadership team, our goals remain ambitious: stronger climate action at the local level, more inclusive policies for all residents, and innovative approaches to urban development. However, we also recognize the work that lies ahead in connecting more deeply with our community and addressing criticisms about transparency and accessibility in our decision-making processes.
For me, this role is not just a responsibility—it’s a chance to foster collaboration, encourage new ideas, and ensure that our vision aligns with the needs of Pulheim’s residents. The trust placed in me and our team is both humbling and energizing.

Whether it’s through attending our meetings, sharing your ideas, or simply engaging in conversations about what matters most to you, your voice is essential. Together, we can continue to make Pulheim a greener, more inclusive, and forward-thinking community.
