Every election is the most important election of your life, and this one is no different. Right now, across the European Union, fascists, right-wing radicals, and Nazis are gaining ground, spreading lies, hate speech, and fear. Their rise threatens the values we hold dear—democracy, inclusivity, and freedom.
But there’s something we can do about it. Each of us has the power to stand up, get engaged, and fight back. Voting is one of the most powerful tools we have to make a difference, to show that there is no place for hate in our communities, and to reject the dangerous ideologies that seek to divide us.
When I hung the poster that boldly says “Mach Nazis ein Kreuz durch die Rechnung,” it wasn’t just about words on paper. It was about action, about reminding everyone that we have a choice. With every vote, we can push back against fear and division and choose hope, progress, and solidarity instead.
